Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution

He does it again!  The admiration and respect I have for this man just continues to grow exponentially!

This campaign is long overdue and not just for the US, but here in Canada, as well.  Two-thirds of American adults are overweight and more than 27% are obese.  The food they eat contains no nutrients and lots of fats, salt and sugar.

Words of Food Wisdom

This piece by Russ Parsons of the LA Times is a great reminder that polarizing and demonizing are NOT ways to facilitate change.  Food is a universal issue that needs to be approached with dialouge, cooperation and common sense.

Food Inc.

I am already very aware of the state of food in our economy and culture.  I am member of Slow Food and the 100 Mile Diet Society.  I have worked in the Food and Beverage industry for my entire working life.  And yet, it still frightens me to watch a doc like Food Inc.  There is still so much more to do and bring to the forefront of political agendas.  

It is a great reminder to come back to the simple question of "Where does my food REALLY come from?"  Do you know?  Please, find out.
